DAY 8

THE TURQUOISE BLUE OF THE RIO CELESTE IN TENORIO

• What’s more romantic than walking along a blue river in the middle of the rainforest?
• Bijagua, this small village stuck between the Tenorio and Miravalles volcanoes is an ideal place to relax in privacy.
• After two hours drive from La Fortuna, you will reach the entrance of the National Park Tenorio.
• Take the path that leads to the waterfall of Rio Celeste.
• You will go at the same time see the “Dyer”, where the two rivers mix to form the alchemy that gives that particular color of the Rio Celeste.
• Between 2 and 3 hours of hiking.
